Plazma Apple Pies

Prep Time - 90 min.

Preparation

Mix the flour and the Plazma Ground in one bowl and add cold butter cut into cubes. Rub the butter into the mix using your fingers (you should still feel pea-sized lumps when you’re done). Add the sour cream, salt and sugar and whisk them all together. Add 1-2 tablespoons of ice-cold water, if needed. Put the dough on a work surface covered with flour then form a ball, wrap it in a transparent foil and leave it in the fridge for 30 minutes. Place the grated apples, water, sugar and the Plazma Ground in a pan. Put the pan with the mixture over moderate heat and boil for 8-10 minutes- until part of the liquid evaporates. Remove the filling from the stove and let it cool. Heat the oven to 180°C. Cover two large baking trays with baking sheets. Spread the cooled dough lightly on the floured work surface, until it’s around 5 mm thick. Using a round mold, cut round circles of 8-10 cm in diameter and arrange them on prepared baking trays. Place the cooled filling in the middle of the dough circle but leave 1 cm free to the edges. Re-fold and cut the remaining dough into strips, stars or shapes and line the filling surface with those. Bake the pies in the oven for 20-30 minutes. Take them out of the oven and let them cool down, then sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
